This product is used in the treatment of acne, both comedonal and inflammatory.
This product is an elegant and powerful combination of prescription-strength Adapalene (a retinoid), with Benzoyl Peroxide and Clindamycin. By incorporating these ingredients together, the anti-acne effects are multiplied in a way that using the ingredients separately cannot attain.
This powerful anti-acne agent is most commonly used in the acne sufferer in their early teens, along with Triple Acne Wash RX, and can help stave off more severe acne.
This Acne Gel prescription product is used at night, and, as with all retinoids, may take a few weeks of gradual ramp-up in use, before skin adjusts to use every night. Dr. Kenner recommends use 1-2 nights a week initially, gradually increasing the frequency of use until the skin tolerates the product every night. Be sure to wear sunblock in the AM, and be aware the benzoyl peroxide ingredient can sometimes bleach clothing or linens. Dr. Kenner encourages her clients to use any retinoid to avoid getting the product too close to the corners of the mouth, nose, and eyes and to use just a small amount. Use moisturizers like Cerave or even Vaseline to help with dryness that might happen early on.
